Hello From The Other Side

The song, as you might have known or heard, is a huge hit. Despite the painful memory it seems to have brought back, I've been listening to it, just like, probably, you and others out there. It's been the hundredth time already. It's melodious while at the same time stabbing too, for which reason I dislike, for a short moment, the crew who's made this song happen. It hurts, you know. The wound has just got better a bit and now it is triggered once again. I've tried to suppress the fought-back pain. It ain't easy.

I listen to it and try to indulge, calmly, in its sublime-ty. Silence won't just work. The meaning is so strong that I feel shaken, most of the times, as the tune drags on. Especially at nighttime when I try to sleep. In a way, it's serenading. In another way, when the words shoot through, from my ears to my head, my chest pounds; chokingly. It's true. It's just too strong to resist. So powerful. Why are you back? I know you listen to that too. I still check up on Facebook. I've seen that. So that one specific night when, just like other days, darkness ruled the world, I couldn't stand the song as I listened to it. Every words stabbed through my chest and throbbed to my blood. I felt pain once again after all these years I've been trying to get over it, moving on. Why would you come back? Why would you leave in the first place? There were voices all over, in my head. I couldn't sleep. The voices were too strong and loud. It ain't a fantasy. It's bombarding. It almost exploded, I swear. It hurt. I wanted an answer, a satisfying one. I, then, realized I didn't even stand a chance in the first place. I ain't even in the game. There are too many things I want to ask. I want to know; answered. It's just childish wants, after all.

Life: Hey, You Can Do Better!

Dear  people,

There is actually this pain-in-the-ego irony some, if not all, of you are facing and, thus, needs clarification. As a youngster, you see adults as fun, joyful, and full of awesomeness; or sort of such. Once, you solemnly thought it would just be cool for you too when you reach that stage of life, wishing time would elapse fast, at double triple speed, into the future. So that, you who were once young, free, cheer-spirited, non-egoistic, and un-judgmental could, as adults, have the same things, embrace the same awesomeness, and feel the same coolness. After some years, which is reflectively fast in just several blinks of eyes, you’ve turned adults. Yay! Fun times with those awesome things you once longed for! Having co-existed with you along these sadappy (sad +happy) years, as a sublime form of existence (and perhaps of great significance to all of you), I am happy for you. As I am about to congratulate you, you step in, rival, and thrust a long list of painful complaints―some dramatic―into my face, which hurts my mouth and makes me solidly conceptualize that you are just a pain, not in the a-s-s, but in the face.

As a tool for revenge, I should bombard you with this long list of questions, which I suspect would degrade your current state of happiness―which, for some, might be already low. I would ask questions like: how are things going on with you, being adult?  How have you, as a well-behaved and good-hearted (as I conceptualize) adult been enjoying all the awesomeness? Don’t you have good, memorable times, and will have a lot more, with your girl/boyfriend, just as your older brothers, sisters, or relative once had when you were not caring at all about the future? And, how’s the job going? Aren’t you learning and at the same time getting to travel as much, and earning good amount of money from the so-called perfect job you love—just as, again, one of your maternal uncle had at the time you were just small, playing happily under the sunlight? Do I, uh, too have to mention the precious Lexus your father’s elder brother had, and which he had driven your cousins and you to school during your primary school days? Do you happen to like your own Lexus?  Do you want me to go on? For the calmness of your emotionality, and mine, I’d rather not. One final, though (and I’m sorry if you feel bad for this): how’s your heart? Perfect in its starting condition? Keep that to yourself!

What I've Learnt From My Life During Un-employment Period

I left school back in almost late 2012, prior and during which I had been lucky to pick up quite a number of amateur working experiences through internship, freelanceship, part-time and volunteer works. Before I was finally able to land in for a job I had to live several couples of dreary weeks without jobs but seeking for one; that was almost burning all the academic parts of my body. Life! You have no ideas or might have some but, well, life during those weeks sucked.

I, however, got a job after some moments searching. I was committed to the job, which I loved and felt passionate for. As times grew forward, I was conditioned to selflessly convince myself to leave and I happily turned in the letter.

Home sweet home for the second time!

On a conclusive manner, the period of “home sweet home” are freedom-spraying and, along time, somewhat depressing.

The good point, above all, though, is the struggle to fight and move on. With reflections, I gotta say I learned and observed something during those dark and absurd moments of being too free. The following decipher those knowledge and I'd like to humbly share with all of you.

An L-word Promise That Motivates.....

It is the damn word all yearn to have, especially those newly afoot into that little thing.

It was 2011. May, 27, the starting point. No exact time recorded!

“I think it will be time for you to say that to me, honey.”

“Not yet,” comes a reply, “We’ll see and hear. We just start, hey!"

"But? Um, I have done this a lot to prove my..." to which a reply cut through: C'mon! It will be time, just like you say; not now, though. I do want to but, um......

"Promise me, okay? I'll get to you again on New Year's eve when we are going to hold hands, walking under the lighted breezy street. Then, you will have to go with the reality: you and I, forever."

Riya, now a bit touched, okayed, smilingly.

9 Melodious Songs to Chill Out on Sunday

I have been away for a while from this little forlorn meek blog and if you have been suspecting where I have been and whom I have been dating, busy-ness has been filling the spot.

Honestly, I have been staring at the blank page and thinking of what to write. A short story, came the first thought. Some more ideas just keep flickering inside my head. The ideas flooded and, to a level, bored, I almost logged out.

I then finalized a topic for this post. Let's just silentivate all the thoughts, get the earplugs and shut the world off. 9 songs below should be enough.

That's Life.....

The sun was almost out; the dawn was still taking its very breath and cuddling up with the hissing February wind that was bringing along slight heat as it came and went. Cars came and passed, with whirling light, pressing mercillessly on the crooked lifeless road that was pretending. The weather outside was not so certain and the man inside was not caring either. He was focusing his now-disturbed mind on something else, something special. And, something troubled. And something that had not left his mind. Something that was only healed. It had been almost 20 years and the only thing he knew too well was the fact that no matter how much he had tried to act normally, he was still living his days and that he had no issues with that "normal" living was now not hiding anymore.

"It's coming back again, really?" They were fighting once again after the long-sitting settle-down  that was then for-good broached and coaxed by the then desperate man.

20 Awesome Quotes to Welcome 2014

I have just given a summary of how "bitter-juicy" 2013 was to me. Prettily, it was a rough year and living through was quite hard. Yet I'm strong enough to survive and life goes on, baby!

On the night of countdown, I know a lot must have happened. Some sweet, some fun and some drunk. I was out late that night and it was somehow fun and I did enjoy it. Yet, what I really wish I had done that day is spending time in Lan Kwai Fong, partying all my souls and experiencing something exciting.

The first day of 2014 is not quite kind to me. I got up, feeling sick; my throat hurt and it sucks! Though, new days are supposed to be great, heh! And, I think I have plans for this new year, 2014, which is presumed to be bumpier and more challenging.

10 Motivating Songs To Resurrect A Crumbled Soul

I don't know and plan this. Things, bad things, still come along. Applause for them!

I have been so busy and puffed lately. Knowing that stress would come along anytime, I make myself an affirming resolution that if stress and bad things poof up and  no matter how big they are I gotta refresh myself.

Like expected, things crush bad, putting in me a bad contagious mood. Don't temp me; I could eat a human at the moment, heh!

Bad day, though, not bad life!

Of all the worse happenages (new coined word meaning: things that happen; synonym to "occurrence"), I hate the most is dealing with fellow human beings who.....well, let's just say my rules and theirs didn't get along and who want to play me like a kid (wrong person, dude!)

50 Random Things To Do Before You Die

Some call and compile it into a wish-list. A bucket list, a more widely-referred term.

It's no strange that respective us have wants and needs and ambitions. Some disguise their greed in as ambitions.

So what do you want to do before you die? Learn a third or fourth language? Sunset seeing with your beloved one? Visit all the magnificent wonders of the world?

I think the following things should be typicals in our respective list, though it only reflects my thoughts.

And, though these things come from my thoughts, it doesn't necessarily mean I will do all of them.

It's Time to Move On

Let's make a deal first. This piece is wholly  purposed up to inspire some to move on.

We all want a happy life, right? Yet, life keeps going wrong? Doubts? Research is still in progress for that. If only there were "happy life" at the market!

Let's get real, yet!

You see, we enjoyed many years of being carefree souls, during which we ran and played joyously without caring how badly flunking the economy is and how tortoise-step the world is going to be a greed-lead place to live in. Times fly and we grow up to a stage that we learn to socialize and love. In between, not all of everything we all want want us back. Some, we get while some others, we don't get. (This mother-of-grammar structure, is too classified, huh!)

Too Many Awesome Movies This Year, 2013

To trace back, I'm not raised up rich and spoiled and life has just been normal.  That is, not having modern things, gizmos, and lifestyles okays for me. Life was once simple and, somehow, the fact that that simplicity goes on in this globalized and computerized world doesn't quite scratch me itchy a lot.

That stated ain't means I'm just an old style, not adapting any changes necessary in this little world. Well, somewhat, I prefer things done in my ways even if they are quite different (and weirder) from others.

One thing I might have done different from others might be the ways I watch movies.

If you are a frequent visitor to my blog, you probably have learnt that I like watching movies and the way I spend time on movies is different. Well, while my friends who are "rich", I'm either "impatient" or "patient". Most of the time, semi-patient or fully patient.

Tougher Journey Ahead

When most of my friends ask, either on social media sites or in persons,  what I am doing right now, I simply joke around with "I'm a motor-taxi driver".

Actually, I am teaching.

To talk about education in Cambodia, I'm in no feelings but in a blender  full of shame and doubts. And, I metaphorically choke at how "urgent improvements needed" the system should be lifted up.  It hurts, like a lot, to face that education in Cambodia is "not so good". There are quite many a problems in the system, which I and many other Cambodians   disgrace. In a picture, poor students ain't having enough financial support and access to tertiary education. And, that cycle is cycle. It sucks, really.

Rayuth's Sapoun-Midada Letter to Veronica

Sunshine,

Do you find the following dates and places familiar?

2006, December, Mondial Center, Building C, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

2007, February, 5: 45 PM, Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.'
2009, March, Sovanna Shopping Center, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

2 sweet years and later more different years.

I hope you've been doing good and happy. Of course, you do.

Back then, I was Nicholas Spark's reader. A huge one! After you left, I liked Sapoun Midada more. You inspired that, you know.

The above openings ain't nothing of the gists. The following are, Veronica. I don't know if this letter will ever reach you or you will ever peruse through it. I have no ideas. We actually made it clear that day we no longer authorize the mutual rights to care any longer. Thank us we didn't ban writing that day.

How Much Does The World Care? A Lot and A Bit!

Or, not even a dime and a shit!

Yeah, how much does the world care about a single thing in this world? The amount of care shall be surprisingly unclear. It depends on what things are being watched, talked and concerned.

The I-don't-understand amount of care on respective things might also seed many whies in your head.
The final Champion League match will sure lure streaming amounts of care and attention from people around the world and the world itself. Unlikely, "rape" in one specific area of the world, say India, might not be well and enough heard and talked of, though CNN, BBC or others big news bodies unveil it.

5 Things I Miss About AL

The hell is AL, Js?

Bubble a guess, what about?

It has been almost for a year I haven't touched this AL things and it bores me to a moderate extent since I once was this fist-sized interested in this AL. You know, one doesn't simply let go easily of things he was once enthusiastic in. Not even to think of it once in a while.

If you are a linguistic student, you might have heard of this AL, a fine tough subject that is both boring and entertaining to study.

15 Things About I When It Comes to Movie-watching

Movies and I are related, I guess. Back into my childhood and grown-up life, though I didn't watch too much movie, I enjoyed some cartoons--a kind of movie, I call it-- that were aired by then Cambodia TV channels and several Thai movies, especially one about ghosts and witches, that were then popular among Cambodians. Averagely, I spent only less than 2 hours a day for movie and TV things. FYI, then, during the 90s the only access I had to movies was through TV; no internet and going to the cinema. Things grew a bit when I turned teenager. Though I started to engage less on TV and on movie as most of the time was spent outside the house, I still found time for  movies, if any available, at night time via TV. Then, there were ancient-Chinese and Singaporean movies.
